Daikin has an extensive range of inverter and non-inverter heat pumps for both the domestic and commercial markets.
Non Inverter
These operate on a start/stop principal of heating similar to other conventional heating systems. For example, if you programme the heater to produce 23°C for the area, it will achieve this and then switch off. The result will be that the temperature across the space will drop and the process will then have to start all over again, using more power to reheat the area.
Inverter
The inverter works like an accelerator on your car – gently increasing or decreasing power as required. It reaches the desired temperature and then maintains it – during winter 24 hours per day and at a temperature that suits you. This method of operation not only produces a very acceptable climate in which to live and work but also produces considerable savings in operating costs.
1. It uses 30% less energy a year than the ordinary non-inverter method
2. The heating/cooling capacity is up to 1.5 times that of ordinary non-inverter models
3. There is less temperature fluctuation and greater comfort
